Advanced Placement exams begin this week! All exams will begin at 8:00am and students are to report to the office immediately after breakfast to prepare. No electronic devices will be allowed in the testing room (with the exception of approved calculators for the Calculus AB exam). All phones, media players, etc. must be locked in the office during testing. Food and drinks are not allowed in the testing room.
All MVHS seniors planning to attend a two or four-year college in West Virginia are probably eligible to receive money to help pay for school from WV GEAR UP. The amount of each incentive award ranges from $200-$3,300.
You must visit WV GEAR UP and complete the online application and FAFSA by May 1, 2009.
Concord University is hosting the 2009 GEAR UP Family Day Event on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All 11th and 12th Grade MVHS students are eligible to attend with their families! There will be financial aid information, a tour of the campus, guest speakers, and lunch will be served.
Register for the event at Concord’s site, or you may register at the event itself.
Juniors will receive a “Non-Detention Hall” pass and Seniors will receive two extra tickets to graduation! See Ms. Miller for details and requirements.
